Summer in a cab

I worked the overnight shift for a reason the summer heat.
Bank signs read 115 commonly. The news would say 109 or 110. Cab generally had two things broken. Suspension and AC. The suspension was due to massive and plentiful speed bumps. 15 mph at most casinos. Some nut cases found that if you hit it at 30 or 45 it was smoother. This of course killed the shocks.
The AC died from overuse. Cabs are used 24 hours in a day with the majority working each day. The cabs under 100,000 miles had AC. after 200,000 at the latest had none
There was a real danger of dehydration. I drank a minimum of 3 liters of water every shift. I might have to urinate 1 time in 12 hours. Every cab driver had salt crust at end of their shift.
Working the overnight shift the temp would drop to 102 or so. This felt good. Drivers would stand out of their cabs to cool off.
