IN the 90’s if you played for an hour at $10 a hand or 1/2 hour playing $25 or better a hand you could get a comp. Comps were good for buffets, steak houses, movie theater tickets, show tickets, basically anything they had in the casino they would let you have for free if you were willing to play a little time
I liked the steak houses. Especially the Station Casino Steak Houses. Stations buffets were good too. I preferred to play at a Station Casino as they were the most liberal with comps.
Comps were left over from the Mob days. The day you had to have players card to be rated comps crashed. You had to play a lot longer and you got a lot less. No way around this. I have a friend that ran the Monte Carlo and he couldn’t get us a comp for food, only for hotel rooms. I miss comps
