I saw some things that scarred me for life driving a cab. Sometimes the aftermath, sometimes right when it happened.
Stratosphere has big fences with concertino wire around the edge of their tower top. This didn’t stop two people
The first was a Canadian guy who went up top and climbed the fences and seemingly didn’t mind the slices in his hand. He jumped and landed on the Valet Porch. He shot through it and hit a limo went through the roof of the limo. I got there just as they had taken the body away but not yet cleaned anything. The horrible part was the flesh handing from the porch. Going through it tore a huge amount just flapping there in the breeze. It was truly gory.
The second was a young teenager. I think I remember they said he was 14. In any case he got over the fences, and he landed on the driveway. Again, I came after the body was removed, but while they were cleaning. I saw a guy using a hose to clean off the driveway. The gory part was seeing bits of brain being washed into the storm drain. Seeing that was disturbing.
On the road I was driving in front of the Hilton Hotel and traffic was slow. I get up and I see a horrible accident. I notice something odd; I looked closer it was the head of one the people in the wreck. I got there just after it happened.
I had to go to a house to pick a passenger up. I get there cops are crawling everywhere. They asked why I was there. I told them the name of the passenger. They told me I was too late. Her husband had shot her and killed her. She was laying in the driveway in a pool of blood. Gory again. I am just glad I was a little late. If I had been on time. I would have had the woman in the cab while the husband was hunting here. I might have been shot at.
All of these events have run through my nightmares a few times.
I hope if you visit Vegas you never encounter such things
