Conventions as a cab driver

Every convention was unique.


Shoe Salesmen Convention. First one starting of the season. It was August. Al Bundy is real. These dudes wanted the naked hooker cards. Too cheap to the Strip Club. They were very bad tippers. Allways wanting receipts. I figured out how to get money from them. I sold black receipt pack of 25. I got them free from the cab company. Id usually sold 6 packs. Made me $30 off of them. I hated this one

Comdex Computer geeks that loved Strip Clubs. Made mega money on these dudes. I always got a free ticket to the showoff of someone. I am a Computer Geek. I loved this show. I would go on my day off. Got to see new hardware and software. I loved this show

Shot Show was fun too. I like guns and such so I talked that stuff with my passengers. I never could get free ticket. but I did get to see some real cool guns and ammo up close. These dudes tipped well. Not many strip club runs. but at lot of $10 tips

AVN was fun for guys in their 20’s. You would get geeks that ran the websites, you also got very hot chicks in the cab. Tips were decent. Strip clubs were good from all the guys who didn’t have tickets in but came in hopes of seeing a Porn Starlet. I had a friend in that business. I got a ticket in. Blew me away. Plates with cocaine everywhere, pot was in the air. the porn girls had their websites did live shows. In about every room, you would find naked chicks. This show still happens. I’ve seen it. That is enough

CES was a good show. They had all the tech on all consumer electrons. Lot of rides from this one. Tips were decent at $5 average. Never got a ticket to the show. Sold receipt packs for this one too. Good amount of strip club dudes.

Magic was a fashion convention. Lots of Gays. They went to the Paris most often. I have no problem with them, but they are stingy tippers. Lots of rides to the restaurants. They would have boxes of clothes. the back seats were filled with it. I drove and Explorer for one time. they filled it up. Another year I was in a propane Crown Vic. The propane tank filled the trunk. So didn’t get many people with a large amount of stuff.
