All caisnos required that employees stayed on property. This meant that the had to feed us. I worked at 4 different casinos.
- El Cortez
- Sam’s Town
- Casino Royal
- Arizona Charlies on Boulder
El Cortez had vile food. As dealer you only had 15 minutes to eat. They served oxtails in cream, teriyaki, gravy, bbq, and breaded. Only the Asian employees ate it. Most of us grabbed something to drink an not eat.
Sam’s Town had a fantastic employee breaker room. It was as buffet. They made food to order. I can’t say how cool this was.
Casino Royal had a short order cook while I was there. If you tipped him he would make anything you want. I tip all the times. I at very well. Those who didn’t had burgers or a burrito. I heard after I left they went to serving hot dogs. The kitchen was turned into a Outback restaurant. I am glad I left before that.
Arizona Charlies had a short order cook. Tips went a long way too. You could order your food for your next break. It would be hot an waiting for you. The cook could make just about everything.
I liked the short order cooks the best. You had control of what you ate. It was always hot and ready.
