Y2K

Like the rest of the world Vegas was worried about Y2K taking down their computer networks. All sorts of news stories going on about it. People were buying new computers that could go to 2000 without having a failure
I was driving a cab for Henderson/Whitlesea Cab company. They didn’t upgrade. They just changed the date to a time in the 80’s that had the same dates on the same weekdays. I think it was 1987. So all paperwork was dated decades ago. It worked. Cheap bastards were cheap on everything.
